You Will Cry

So if your going to see this movie I seriously suggest you bring a box of tissues. I haven't cried (more like sobbed) from a movie in a long time. I don't think ever honestly. I knew going into it would probably be sad and what not, but I never thought it would be that emotionally gut-wrenching. It was a good movie but coming out of the theater Friday afternoon I felt sick to my stomach. Its not horrifically violent (don't get me wrong it does have its violent parts, but no worse than any other run of the mill WWII films) its more so that it breaks your heart into a million pieces. You think you know whats going to happen through most of it until a twist in the end which makes it a million times more nauseatingly sick. Though coming out of it it makes you realize we should never turn our backs on history,we should always remember so we never let it happen again. And something they discuss in the film reminds us of this, how most of the people in the begining had no idea what was really going on in the camps until it was too late.
