New pictures but not much to say...

My first day of school went well. My classes are all easy so I have a feeling this year is going to go calmly and smooth.

Thats about all I have to say, these are just some pictures I took after I got out of school monday.

Back to School

I start school this Monday, and I'm actually ready to go back which is strange for me. I'm not like some teenagers that enjoy going to school; if anything I'm one of the types that hate it and try to prolong it as long as possible.

It seems so strange to think this is my last year of high school, but unlike some of my friends I am completely prepared for it and ready to move on. Even a few of my friends that share my view on high school say they aren't ready, and I think that shows they still have a lot of maturing to do during their senior year. All this year really is for me is to get ready for college next year, and for the somewhat unorganized person that I am I know exactly where I'm going in the next few years and have prepared as much as possible for it. And that makes me happy, and I have to say I'm proud of myself for it :).

All high school has ever taught me is that I didnt fit the right or normal mold for a regular teenager. And made me feel like I was wrong for being different, when in actuality the people surrounding me are more like sheep than people. It took me so long to realize I didn't want to be one of the many sheep, and I didn't even really fully realize it until last year. And the one thing I know I'm going to take away from high school is that regular sheep are a dime a dozen but the strange and interesting ones are the real vibrant people of the world. The people that really make a difference.

Some new art work....

This is one of the newer things i've been working on, its an altered book. So far i dont have that much done on it but the front cover and a few pages. I really enjoy working with collages.

In other art news i havent been doing alot of serious work but i have been doing alot of jester drawings i.e. rough sketches.

Henry Poole Is Here...the best movie I've seen in a long time.

I was off Friday afternoon and went to the movies with my mom to see Henry Poole Is Here. I absolutely loved it. It starred Luke Wilson, and he actually plays a serious role which was nice to see him play instead of starring in his usual comedies.

As for the story line its very interesting and by the end of the movie you'll find your eyes wet with tears. Every person can relate with this movie on one level or another. The movie is all in all an emotional rollarcoaster, that will really touch you in a special place that hollywood tends to leave empty and untouched by most movies.

I recommend that everyone go see it, and I just may go see it again sometime this week. You know it must be a good movie than :).

Catching Up.

Its been awhile since my last post. But i think im back to posting regularily again, things with work have slowed down and the scheduling is alot better now too. I wont get into the details about being a working girl bacause honestly its pretty boring, but i will say i have enjoyed the pay checks and the new friends im making.

In other news i went to the rubber stamp convention with my mom last weekend, and spent my whole first pay check there basically but it was well worth it. I got alot of neat and interesting goodies that i normally couldnt buy on a regular bases.



And an added plus is that i got to take silly pictures with cardbord cut outs of Glenda the good with, elvis, and James Dean.



Im going to be starting school again, and im actually looking forward to it quite a bit. Its my senior year and i only have two classes to take and i dont have to come until late in the day. Another great thing is its going to give me the chance to take more classes at the art academy this fall. And thats what excites me the most, here lately i've really been missing taking any classes and being surrounded with peope of like mindedness.I plan on taking a high school figure drawing class, which i really think is the next step for me. Another class im looking into taking is a water color class in local Cincinnati parks, this is more for fun but i think i would really enjoy it.

I plan on working on some new sketches and if theres any worth while i'll be sure to put them in my next post. Enjoy your weekend everyone :).

Work. Lots of it.

I havent really been doing much but working at my new job here lately, im just checking in to say hi and thats about it. So this is a bit of a pointless post :).
